MormonPlaces is an interactive gazetteer of thousands of places of interest to Latter-day Saint history, including settlements, congregations (branches, wards, and stakes), cemeteries, buildings (churches, houses, etc.) and events. We are constantly adding more places, starting with those we collected for Mapping Mormonism: An Atlas of Latter-day Saint History. In these efforts, we are working in concert with the Pioneer Research Group and their EarlyLDS database of early members.

The goal of this site is not just to distribute this information, but to help the entire Mormon history community collaborate in understanding LDS historical geography. Soon you will be able to contribute what you know about these places, review the contributions of others, and add places that we are missing around the world. Stay tuned!
